Congratulations Moatview Early Education Centre!

Congratulations to Moatview Early Education Centre who are the first Early Years Service workingwith Preparing for Life (and one of the first in the country) to be validated using the Síolta Quality Assurance Process.

Susin, Anna, Yuk-kuen, Adrienne and Leisha made up the team who worked tirelessly to complete the portfolio of work submitted to the Early Years Education Policy Unit back in 2011. In December, Maresa Duignan from the
Department of Education and Skills presented the manager of the service, Susin Sheehan with three certificates acknowledging the high quality service being offered to children in Moatview.

At the presentation, Susin said

Our 18 month journey to implement the Síolta programme seemed a daunting task at first but one this centre is delighted to have taken. Completion took many long hours of hard work but with the aim of promoting positive early experiences this "task" very quickly became our "interest & goal" as staff welcomed this new venture and worked together with huge support from the co-ordinators of Preparing for Life to implement the 12 principles of the Síolta Framework. This framework has undoubtedly been given the appropriate name of Síolta - meaning seeds - as its success has planted a new growth of enthusiasm and energy through the staff and into our service. We believe that this success will help to support each child to reach his/her full potential through the quality care & education we proudly provide under the award of Síolta

Well done to all those involved!

Keep up the good work!
