Minister Frances Fitzgerald visits Preparing for Life

Minister Frances Fitzgerald, the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, visited Preparing for Life on May 27th. During her visit she met with members of the board of Northside Partnership, local public representatives, staff of Preparing for Life as well as parents and children who participate in the programme.
The minister is keenly interested in early intervention and prevention and indicated that programmes such as Preparing for Life have a crucial role to play in generating high quality research data that will support her as minister as she endeavours to promote the early intervention/prevention agenda at government level.
We would like to thank the parents who met the minister and shared their experiences as well as the staff team who prepared diligently for the visit. We would also like to thank Terence Flanagan TD and Councillor Larry O’Toole for their ongoing interest in our programme and for taking the time to be with us for the morning.
